How much can I copy?

All photocopying is subject to the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968

The Copyright Act states that, for the purposes of research or study, it is reasonable to photocopy:                                              

  • From a single journal issue:
    • One article or more if the article taken is for a different area of research, or a different course of study,
    • Two or more articles, if they relate to the same subject area.
  • From a book that is more than 10 pages long (and is not an artistic work):
    • 10% of the total number of pages, or
    • The whole or part of a single chapter (even if that one chapter exceeds 10% of the total number of pages).
  • From an online work:
    • 10% of the total number of words in the work
    • The whole or part of a single chapter if the electronic work is clearly divided into chapters.

Print, copy and scan @Adelaide library

Printing and copying can be done from the photocopiers located in the Adelaide Campus Library. 

Wireless printing is available through your laptop, mobile or other devices. Speak to one of our library staff members when you're next onsite.
